Played at 12 NOON....BEFORE the oath of office. Constitution states that at NOON the man for the office IS president, no matter if oath has been taken or not.

Song written by John Williams for the inauguration.

I will add more photos in time. I just had hard copies taken from the camera's chip and I need to scan them. There are plenty more where these came from, but I had these saved on the computer from Friday night's newscast. Stay tuned for more taken off my camera. It will be a while before I get a chance to work on this page tho, I have to catch up on some housework now that everything will be getting back to normal. And I have another doctor's appointment to get to early Monday morning...life gets in the way of working on the blog sometimes.

Obama's Campaign Rally
4PM - nearly 5 PM
Friday

This photo [and more below] is from the 10PM newscast from one of the local news stations here in town. I'm in the red jacket just to the left of Mr. Obama and to the right of the gal who's "signing" for the deaf. I'm wearing my eye glasses so I won't miss a thing. [A bit of dear hubby can be seen just under Barack's chin, between his hand holding the microphone.]

Hubby on the left, with the 'white' hair and dark blue jacket [just above the white sign and off the guy in the white shirt's right arm]

Again, I'm in the red jacket in the front row [just to the left of the "signer" for the deaf] (by the way, the guy you see above the "Action 10 News" logo, in the suit, is Secret Service)

An eloquent, powerful speech.

Hubby and myself, backstage before we were escorted to the podium where the speech would take place. Notice my Barack Obama Campaign button? LOL

This photo was sent to me via email...a friend I made there while waiting in line. The arrow you see to the left of "CHANGE" shows where I was and how close I was to 'the man'!!!

And, she also sent me this in my email... we're 'on stage' just above Mr. Obama's platform! [again, arrow shows me]

This is hubby and I on CNN Newscast. I'm holding my "Texas for Obama" sign. [just to the left of the black guy holding his sign "Workers for Obama"] Hubby just behind him.

Here I am [in red to the left] holding my infamous book authored by Barack Obama.

You can see only my bespeckled face in this one. CNN News...then the "Workers for Obama" and dear hubby 'peeking from behind.

Bill Clinton's Speech [August 27 - Denver]

What was interesting and unknown to Mr. Clinton at the time [until afterward] the networks decided to put his speech on a 5 second delay broadcast!
Former President Bill Clinton's speech at the Democratic National Convention in Denver Wednesday night will be broadcast on a five-second delay similar to that used to screen callers on talk radio programs, party officials confirmed today.

The five-second delay, customarily used to censor callers who might use profanity or other unacceptable speech on a radio show, has never before been used in the broadcast of a speech by a former President of the United States, experts believe.

But convention planners, nervous that Mr. Clinton might depart from his prepared remarks in an unacceptable way, said that they were using the delay "just in case."

"We hope and expect that Bill Clinton will give a stirring and perfectly acceptable speech, by broadcast standards," said DNC chairman Howard Dean. "However, if we see his face turning red and his forehead starting to throb, we'll be there to pull the plug."

For his part, former President Clinton said that he was "surprised" by the DNC's decision to institute the five-second delay, but added, "It's just like those motherf**kers."

I say to his reaction...you only get what you deserve. You've made a country weary of all you reactions and disparaging remarks before, what do you expect?
